What this covers

Only what we have seen, paid for, and measured ourselves: the quotes we received, the meeting notes, photos taken before the walls closed up, and the options we decided against — with the reasons why.

We also write about the things the two of us disagreed on. Most decisions in building a house split that way, and a write-up that only shows the settled answer is not much use to anyone.

If we have not experienced it, we do not write about it.
